What Index My Site is
Index My Site is a service that submits page URLs for Google indexing on your behalf and reports back on each one. You can use it from the web app, the CLI, the MCP server, or the API.
Information we store
We store the information needed to provide your account and run your submissions. This can include:
- Your name, email address, sign-in methods, and active sessions.
- The URLs you submit, the names you give to jobs, and the status and outcome of each URL.
- Your credit balance, purchases, refunds, and auto reload settings.
- API keys and connected client approvals that you create, so the CLI, MCP clients, and your own integrations can act for you.
- Payment references from our payment provider. We do not store your card details.
- Security and operational information, such as IP address, browser or client details, authentication events, and errors.
How we use your information
- Submitting your URLs for indexing and checking their status.
- Managing credits, purchases, refunds, and auto reload.
- Authenticating your account and preventing abuse.
- Sending account, receipt, and job emails.
- Giving connected clients only the access you approve.
Submitted URLs
The URLs you submit are shared with the search engine and the services needed to request indexing. Only submit public URLs that you are allowed to submit. We do not sell your submitted URLs or use them for anything other than running your jobs and reporting results.
Connected clients
You decide which clients can connect to your account. A connected client can submit URLs, read jobs, and check credits within the access you approve. You can review and revoke access from your account settings.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers for hosting, payments, email, and the indexing submissions themselves. They process information only for the work they perform for Index My Site. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and local settings
We use Clicky to measure visits to the public website without analytics cookies. We send the page path, without query parameters or fragments. We do not send submitted URLs or page content as analytics events.
We use the cookies needed to sign you in and protect your session. The website and app can also store interface settings in your browser, such as your colour mode.
Your choices and data retention
You can delete API keys, revoke connected clients, and delete your account from account settings. Account deletion is permanent and removes your jobs and remaining credits. Limited billing, security, or operational records may remain when the law or fraud prevention requires it.
Changes to this policy
We can update this policy when the product or its providers change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision.
