# Google index checker: is my page indexed?

Find out whether Google has your pages in its index. Paste one URL per line and we search Google for each exact address.

## How to use this tool

Enter one public page URL per line and start the check. Anyone can check 3 URLs a day for free after a short security check. Signed-in users with credits can check up to 100 URLs at once, and each URL uses 1 credit. Each URL is shown as in Google, not found, or not checked. A URL that is not found may still be indexed.

## What the result means

**In Google** means the exact URL showed up when we searched Google for it. The page is in the index.

**Not found** means the exact URL did not show up. This does not prove the page is missing from the index. Google search results vary by location and change over time, so a page can be indexed and still not show up in one search. If the page is on your own site, use URL Inspection in Google Search Console to confirm.

**Cannot check** and **Check failed** mean we could not search for that URL. Neither uses a free check or a credit, so you can fix the address or try again.

## Check URLs in bulk

Free checks are limited to 3 URLs a day because every check is a real Google search. To check more, sign in with credits in your account. Paste up to 100 URLs at once and each URL uses 1 credit. A credit costs $0.20, and the same credits pay for submitting URLs for indexing. You can also run checks from your own code with the [API](https://indexmysite.app/docs/api#check-urls-in-google).

## Page not indexed? What to do next

First, [check the page can be indexed](https://indexmysite.app/tools/indexability). That shows whether the site lets Google visit it and whether the page tells Google to skip it. If your site uses Search Console, the [Page indexing report](https://indexmysite.app/page-indexing-report) explains every status, such as [Crawled, currently not indexed](https://indexmysite.app/crawled-currently-not-indexed) and [Discovered, currently not indexed](https://indexmysite.app/discovered-currently-not-indexed).

When the page is ready, [submit it for indexing](https://app.indexmysite.app/signup). Each URL uses 1 credit, and if Google has not indexed it after the final check around day 14, the credit comes back. See [Submitting URLs](https://indexmysite.app/docs/submitting-urls) for how results work.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is the Google index checker free?

Yes. Anyone can check 3 URLs a day without an account. Signed-in users with credits can check more, and each URL uses 1 credit.

### If my page is not found, does that mean it is not indexed?

No. A page that shows up in the search is in Google. A page that does not show up may still be indexed, because Google search results vary by location and change over time. For a definite answer about your own site, use URL Inspection in Google Search Console.

### How does the check work?

We search Google for each exact URL you enter and look for that address in the results. Only an exact match counts, so a different page on the same site does not.

### Why is the free check limited?

Every check is a real Google search that we pay for, so free checks are limited to 3 URLs a day for each visitor. The allowance resets every day.

### Can I check URLs in bulk?

Yes. Sign in with credits in your account and paste up to 100 URLs at once. Each URL uses 1 credit. URLs we cannot search, and searches that do not finish, use nothing.

### Can I check pages on sites I do not own?

Yes. The check only uses public Google search results, so you can check any public URL, such as a page that mentions or links to you. You do not need Search Console access.

### Can I run checks from my own code?

Yes. Send URLs to the index check API with your API key. It uses the same credits as the page. See the API reference for details.
